The Alexandria Senior Citizens will have a fundraising covered dish lunch on April 9 from 10:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the Senior Citizens Center.

Wildflowers of the Highland Rim- Spring wildflowers are emerging from their dormancy. Come out and discover which wildflowers are emerging from winter's icy grip! Please wear sturdy boots, and don't forget your camera. This is a moderate 2 mile hike. Meet us at the Park Office at 2:00 p.m.
Saturday, March 24
Spring Hike on the Highland Rim- Join the Park Ranger for a hike on the Highland Rim Nature Trail to discover which wildflowers are blooming along the hillsides of the park. This is a moderate two mile trail, so be sure to wear sturdy shoes. Don't forget to bring a camera! Meet at the Park Office at 9:00 a.m.

Spring Hike on the Millennium Trail- Join the Park Ranger for a hike on the Millennium Trail to discover the joys of Spring! This is a two-and-a-half mile moderate trail, so please wear a sturdy pair of boots/shoes. Don't forget your camera! Meet at the Millennium Trail Parking Area at 2:00 p.m.

Birds, Blooms, and Butterflies Hike- Join the Park Ranger for a walk in the woods along the beautiful Millennium Trail. We will discover which flowers and butterflies are emerging, and identify birds and other wildlife along the way. Meet at the Millennium Trail Parking area at 2:00 p.m.. Please wear sturdy shoes and bring water. Don't forget your camera. Approximately 2.5 miles. This is a moderate hike.
The County Clerk's Office will be closed Wednesday, March 21 for employee training. The office will re-open on Thursday, March 22 at 8 a.m.

Justin Potter Library’s Book Sale will start on February 23rd and will continue through Saturday, March 24th. There will be books, audio books, videos and magazines for sale at great prices. The library is accepting donations of books and movies that are in good condition for the book sale. We request no textbooks, magazines or encyclopedias, please. Free High School Equivalency (Hi-Set) Classes are held on Mondays and Thursdays from 3:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the County Complex at 722 South Congress Boulevard. Enter through the UT Extension/Motlow College Corridor, Room 119. Mary Anne Carpenter is the class instructor. On-line classes are also available.
