91 year old Maudie Bell Askew of Alexandria died Monday at the Quality Care Nursing Home in Lebanon. She was a DeKalb County native, a homemaker, and a member of the New Hope Baptist Church. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria. Ronnie Smith will officiate and burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery. 60 year old Robert "Bob" Cantrell of Murfreesboro and formerly of Smithville died Saturday at Alive Hospice of Nashville. He was a retired truck driver and a member of the Resurrected Life church. 79 year old Reverend Ralph L. Macy of Smithville died Thursday at DeKalb Community Hospital. No service will be held. The family has chosen direct cremation. Macy was a lifetime member of the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph A. and Ester Snyder Macy and a sister and two brothers. Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Macy of Smithville.
