100 year old Bonnie Bessie Taylor of Smithville died Thursday at DeKalb Community Hospital. She was a housewife and a member of the Indian Creek Baptist Church. The funeral will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Terry Fesler will officiate and burial will be in the Taylor Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral at 2:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Grant Taylor; her parents, Jordan Lee and Rachel Leone Walker Spencer; two sisters, Lola Self and Athel Hendrixson; two brothers, Halton and Herbert Spencer; and a great granddaughter, Rachel Underhill. Survivors include a daughter, Robbie Taylor of Dowelltown. Two grandchildren, Judy White of Lebanon and Mildred and her husband David Hembree of Cookeville. Two great grandchildren, Stacey and her husband Justin Watson of Lebanon and Ken and his wife Julie Underhill of Smithville. Six great great grandchildren, Ezra Watson, Carly Parkerson and Ashley Strickland of Lebanon and Zackery, Tyler, and Trace Underhill all of Smithville. 54 year old James Carl Mayfield of Alexandria died Thursday at his residence. He was disabled. A memorial service will be held. Arrangements are incomplete. 75 year old Louise Griffith Phillips of Smithville died Friday at Saint Thomas Hospital. She was a homemaker and a member of the Northside Church of Christ. The funeral will be Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Burnice Lyons will officiate. Visitation will be Monday from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Christine Hunt Griffith and a son, Walter Louis Phillips. Survivors include her husband, Walter Phillips of Smithville. Three children, Robert C. and his wife Brenda Hunt of Nashville, Cecilia D. Phillips of Smithville and Juanita L. and her husband Troy Lusk of Manchester. Five grandchildren, Tina Young of Sparta, Fah-Louise Hatley of California, Donald Lusk, Jr. and his wife Kayla of Scottsboro, Alabama, and Hannah Danielle Phillips and Walter Chase Phillips both of Smithville. Five great grandchildren, Corey Young and Trevor Kane Young both of Sparta, Kylee Lusk of Scottsboro, Alabama, Richard Hatley of California,and Chloe Lusk of Scottsboro, Alabama. Two brothers and their wives, William and Melissa Griffith of Nashville and John F. and Shirley Griffith of Lebanon. One sister and her husband Minnie and William Hurd of Smithville. Goddaughter and her husband Dorothy A. and James Hayes of Smithville. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Linsley Baines of Statesville died Saturday at Middle Tennessee Medical Center in Murfreesboro. He was born in Wilson County, a member of the Statesville United Methodist Church, and he was retired from Avco Aerostructures in Nashville. The funeral will be Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at Hunter Funeral Home in Watertown. Jim Newman, Randy Stevenson, and Tommy Davis will officiate and burial will be in the Jennings Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Baines and Alice Robinson Baines and his wife of 76 years, Jessie Mai Bullard Baines. Survivors include three children, Harold and his wife Lou Baines of Murfreesboro, Robert C. and his wife Dorothy Baines of Smithville, and Louise and her husband Robert O'Brien of Murfreesboro. Grandchildren, Harold Wayne and his wife Sarah Baines of Gordonsville, Jimmie and his wife Terri Baines of Orange Beach, Alabama, Gary Baines of Smithville, Ronald and his wife Gail Baines of Smithville, Michael L. and his wife Pam Baines of Smithville, Karen \"Sissy\" and her husband Daniel Mann of Murfreesboro, and Kim and her husband Kendall Carter of Lascassas. Two step grandchildren, Dallas Bush of Murfreesboro and Larry Wayne Bush of Lascassas. Great grandchildren, Bobby O'Brien, Kenny, Kurtis, Kyler, and Kooper Carter, Kristy Elmore, Michael Baines, Jason and Caleb Baines, and Ava Grace Baines. Step great grandchildren, Emily Ann Linder, Michael Paul White, Ana and Cody Bush, Garrett, and Sarah Elizabeth Bush. A great great grandson, Remington Baines.

83 year old Fred D. Townsley died Saturday at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville. He was born in Middlesboro, Kentucky. He was also a World War II veteran. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria. Perry Clayton will officiate and burial will be in the Pisgah Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Lude Asberry Townsley; a daughter, Norma Gail Townsley; and a grandson, William Ross Cope. Survivors include his wife, Thelma Townsley of Nashville. Children, Marilyn Diann Presley, Fred David and his wife Debra Townsley, and Jackie Lea Townsley all of Livingston. A step-son, Bobby and his wife Louise Yates of Lebanon. A step-granddaughter, Dvonne and her husband Terry Davis of White House. Eleven grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren survive along with a daughter-in-law, Sherry Yates and devoted neighbors, Lloyd and Francis Jones and Jean Taylor. Visitation will be Friday from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:30 p.m. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Fannie Clark Vaughn; a grandson, William David Nokes; two sisters, Macon and Maureen Vaughn; and three brothers, Lucion, Erskin and Grady Vaughn. Survivors include his wife, Mandy Edna \"Sis\" Pedigo Vaughn. Four daughters, Judy Anderson, Jackie and her husband Michael Jones, Patricia and her husband Bobby McCormick, and Peggy and her husband Kenneth Cantrell. Six grandchildren, Eddie Anderson, Kevin and Jason Jones, Mandy Mooneyham, Jonathan McCormick all of Smithville, and Hillary Gould of South Carolina. Nine great grandchildren, Emilee and Elisha Anderson, Bryan and Megan Mooneyham, Kailey and Issac Jones all of Smithville, Mark, Jr., Caleb and Sarah Grace Gould of South Carolina. 93 year old Cladye Bell Hayes of Liberty died Friday at NHC Healthcare Center in Smithville. She was a Wilson County native. The funeral will be Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the Prosperity Baptist Church, where she was a member. Thurman Seber and Ricky Scott will officiate and burial will be in the Prosperity Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10;00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elbert and Viola Chapman Dunn; her husband Elbert T. Hayes, and a sister, Irene Fluer. Survivors include a son, Phillip and his wife Linda Hayes of Watertown and a granddaughter, Ashley Hayes of Watertown. 48 year old Barbara Gail Self of Smithville died Tuesday at her residence. She was a member of the Dowelltown United Methodist Church and a factory worker. The funeral will be Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Michael Hale will officiate and burial will be in the Snow Hill Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Sadie Redmon Sandlin and a sister, Pamela Kay Sandlin. Survivors include a son, Shannon Self and Kim Anderson of Watertown and a daughter, Elonda and her husband Blake Davis of Lebanon. Three sisters, Melissa Presnel of Smithville, Donna Certain of Cookeville, and Garnette Prater of McMinnville. Two brothers, Nelson and Lanny Sandlin both of Liberty. Special friends, Lenzy Stanley of Smithville, and Nancy Haley and Helen Self both of Liberty. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
