57 year old Margaret Ann Pack died Wednesday at her residence. She is survived by her husband, Donnie Pack. Arrangements are incomplete. A list of survivors and complete arrangements will be announced later by DeKalb Funeral Chapel.

57 year old Margaret Ann Pack of Smithville died Wednesday at her residence. She was a bookkeeper and a member of the Phillipi Church of Christ. The funeral will be Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Hilton Conger and Jerry Pack will officiate and burial will be in Town Cemetery in Smithville. Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.; Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.; and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her mother, Martha Ann Young Frazier and a brother, Eddie B. Frazier. Survivors include her husband, Donnie Pack of Smithville. Children, Bryan Malone of Atlanta, Georgia; Melonie and her husband John Crews, Jason and his wife Lisa Pack, Mandy and her husband John Dakas all of Smithville. Her father and step-mother, Edsel and Louise Frazier of Smithville. One granddaughter, Chloe Ann Pack of Smithville. A step-sister, Linda Stone of Smithville. An aunt, Ruby Smithson of Smithville and an uncle, Edward Frazier of Smithville. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

Galen Bruce Roll

62 year old Galen Bruce Roll of Dowelltown died Wednesday at University Medical Center in Lebanon. He was a Methodist and a computer programmer. A memorial service will be held at a later date. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion E. and Jacqueline Morrison Roll and a half brother, Earl C. Smith. Survivors include sisters, Barbara Powell of Dowelltown and Karen Elling of Texas. Brothers, Ernest Roll of Louisiana and Allan Roll of Virginia. Nieces, Holly Frazier of Liberty and Nancy Craig of Texas. Nephews, Erin and Shelly Gibson of Dowelltown and Dale and Melanie Craig of Virginia. Seven great nieces and nephews also survive. Mr. Roll's remains have been cremated.

Berlie Randolph Hendrix

94 year old Berlie Randolph Hendrix of Dowelltown died Thursday at DeKalb Community Hospital. He was retired from the DeKalb County School System and was a member of the Mount Herman Baptist Church. The funeral will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Chuck Olson and David Carden will officiate and burial will be in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Lee Kilgore Hendrix; parents, William Thomas and Nora Wilkins Hendrix; two sons, John Tolbert Hendrix and Erie Randolph Hendrix; three sisters, Dorothy Ervin, Elisha Martin, and Louise Vanatta; three brothers, John T. Hendrix, Charlie Hendrix, and Robert Hendrix; and two half-sisters, Ollie Jones and Mary Bain. Survivors include a daughter, Mildred Pauline Hendrix Suffridge and her husband James of Smithville. Five sons, Orvil Earl Hendrix and his wife Wanda of Dowelltown, Roger Allen (Ricky) Hendrix and his wife Kathy of Dowelltown, Willie Doyle Hendrix and his wife Faye of Smithville, Farron Lee Hendrix and his wife Gayla of Smithville, and Wallace Tucker Hendrix and his wife Carol. Fifteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, eleven step-grandchildren, four step great grandchildren, one step great great grandchild, and one brother, Lonnie Hendrix of Nashville. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.; Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.; and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangemments. The family requests that donations be made to the Mount Herman Baptist Church Building Fund, in lieu of flowers.

78 year old Martha Elizabeth Young of Smithville died Saturday at DeKalb Community Hospital. She was a Baptist and an employee at the shirt factory and Genesco. The funeral will be Monday at 1:00 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Donald Owens and Dave Cardin will officiate and burial will be in Whorton Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Novie Yates Taylor; her first husband, Willie Hobart Owens; her second husband, W.P. \"Bill\" Young; a step-child, Shelia Scarsella; a sister, Carnell Keith; and a brother, Albert Taylor. Survivors include her children, Charles and his wife Beatrice Owens and Sue Martin all of Smithville. A step-son, Bruce and his wife Dawn Young of Michigan. A step-son-in-law, Silbano Scarsella of Italy. Grandchildren, Bethany and her husband Chris Tramel of Smithville and Tracy McGee of Mount Pleasant. Step-grandchildren, Brian Young, Heather Young, Stephanie Scarsella, and Danny Scarsella all of Michigan. Sisters, Jo Parton of Smithville, Patty Trustee and Barbara Fuson both of Nashville. Brothers, Solon Taylor, James Paul Taylor, and Doyle Taylor all of Smithville. Several nieces and nephews also survive. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

82 year old Lucille Jones of McMinnville died Saturday at her home of a short illness. She was a retired employee of River Park Hospital and was preceded in death by her husband, Major A. Jones; a son, Bennie R. Jones; her parents, George and Cuba Lou Smithson Williamson; her step-mother, Myrtle Gaither Williamson and a sister, Louise Mayo. The funeral will be Monday at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of McMinnville Funeral Home. Mark Carrigan and Willard Ralph, Jr. will officiate and burial will be in the Mount View Cemetery. The Jones family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at McMinnville Funeral Home. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby Wayne and Betty Jones of Smithville, Carl and Opal Jones of Woodbury, and Buddy and Phyllis Jones of McMinnville. A daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn (Ann) and Herman (Ace) Boren of McMinnville. Eleven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren survive. 82 year old John Henry Puckett of Watertown died Sunday morning at Summit Medical Center in Hermitage. He was born in DeKalb County, a retired employee after serving 29 years at the Ford Glass Plant, a Baptist, and a U.S. Army Veteran. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Hunter Funeral Home in Watertown. Jack Stone will officiate and burial will be in Poplar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.; Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.; and Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Louvella Frazier Puckett. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Martha Key Puckett. A daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Steve Northcott of Watertown. A son and daughter-in-law, John E and Christy L. Puckett of Watertown. Seven grandchildren, Jennifer Maxfield and Tyler Northcott both of Watertown, Janet West of Bellview, Ashley Puckett and Logan Puckett both of Lebanon, and Mallorie Puckett and Michael Puckett both of Alberta Canada. Three great grandchildren, Cheyenne Madden, Trinity West, and Melanie West all of Bellview. Three brothers, James Puckett of Birmingham, Alabama, T.J. Puckett of Detroit Michigan, and Gene Puckett of Cookeville. Two sisters, Mearl Driver Dorsey of Donelson and Ritha Nell Farley of Cookeville. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. 65 year old Edwin Ray \"Buddy\" Dunham died Sunday at the Cookeville Regional Hospital. He was born in DeKalb County. Dunham was also a member of the Hickory Valley Methodist Presbyterian Church. The funeral will be Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Thurman Funeral Home in Sparta. Freddie Copeland and Floyd Massey will officiate and burial will be in the Frasier Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday and until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Chapel of Thurman Funeral Home. In addition to his parents, Othel Floyd Dunham, Sr. and Lillie Pauline Washer Dunham, he was preceded in death by a brother, Oswald Dunham. He is survived by his wife, Linda Sue Wilson Dunham of Sparta. A son and daughter-in-law, James Edwin \"Jimmy\" and Kim Dunham of Sparta. A daughter and son-in-law, Linda Michelle and Jeff Lafever of Sparta. Sisters and brothers-in-law, Jimmie Faye and Cranston Massey of Elmwood and Martha Jane and Jack Lieb of Nashville. A brother, Othel Floyd Dunham, Jr. of Doyle. A grandson, Zane Hunter Lafever of Sparta and several nieces and nephews. Thurman Funeral Home in Sparta is in charge of the arrangements.

79 year old Billy Joe Corley of Lower Helton Road, Alexandria died Wednesday from injuries he suffered in a three wheeler accident. The funeral will be Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the Mount Zion Baptist Church. Dan Mallette and Richard Buckner will officiate and burial will be in the Mount Zion Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Avant Funeral Home in Alexandria on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Corley is survived by his wife of 49 years, Ruth Hancock Corley. Four children, William Randall and his wife Angie Corley of Chapel Hill; James Quinn Corley of Smyrna; Tony Joe Corley of Liberty; and Kimberly and her husband William Turner of Smithville. Six grandchildren, Jonathan Q. Corley, William Shane Corley, Calef Corley, Chase Corley, Justin Turner, and Alex Turner. A sister, Wilma Corley Oakley of Alexandria. 81 year old Paul E. Howard of Alexandria and formerly of Pocola, Oklahoma died Wednesday at his residence. He was a retired contractor and horseman. The funeral will be Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Hunter Funeral Home in Watertown. Don Mathis will officiate and burial will be in the Hillview Cemetery in Alexandria. Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Len Howard and Mary Bolt Howard. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Phyllis Stafford Howard of Alexandria. A son and daughter-in-law, Brandon and Debbie Howard of Watertown. Three daughters, Mary Frances and her husband Jim Evans of Lebanon, Sandy and her husband Henry Crawford of Jacksonville, Florida, and Ladonna McClendon of Orlando, Florida. Five grandchildren, Larry Paul Bowden, Brandy Lee Bowden, and Brady Len Bowden all of Lebanon, Richard Mistone of Watertown, and Kimberly Williams of Ohio. Two sisters, Ruby Nell Perkins of Pocola, Oklahoma and Mary Lee Williams of California. Special friends, Linda and Nick Mitchell, Debra Ray, and Dub and Debbie Prescott.
