80 year old Austin P. Vaughn of Smithville died Friday at DeKalb Community Hospital. He was a retired factory worker and a member of the Smithville Church of God. The funeral will be Sunday at 1:30 .m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Leonard Herman and Virgil Hibdon, Jr.will officiate and burial will be in Whorton Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:30 p.m. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Fannie Clark Vaughn; a grandson, William David Nokes; two sisters, Macon and Maureen Vaughn; and three brothers, Lucion, Erskin and Grady Vaughn. Survivors include his wife, Mandy Edna \"Sis\" Pedigo Vaughn. Four daughters, Judy Anderson, Jackie and her husband Michael Jones, Patricia and her husband Bobby McCormick, and Peggy and her husband Kenneth Cantrell. Six grandchildren, Eddie Anderson, Kevin and Jason Jones, Mandy Mooneyham, and Jonathan McCormick all of Smithville, and Hillary Gould of South Carolina. Nine great grandchildren, Emilee and Elisha Anderson, Bryan and Megan Mooneyham, and Kailey and Issac Jones all of Smithville, and Mark, Jr., Caleb and Sarah Grace Gould of South Carolina. One sister, Flossie Hammon of Gallatin. Two brothers, Loring Vaughn of Indiana and Woody Vaughn of Nashville. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
