85 year old Inez Tubbs of Smithville died Thursday at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was a homemaker. The funeral will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Burnes Lyons will officiate and burial will be in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mittie Lee Everette Johnson and her husband, William C. Tubbs, Sr. Survivors include four sons, Billy Jackson Tubbs of Nashville, Bobby Tubbs of Old Hickory, William Tubbs, Jr. of Cookeville, and Walter Kenneth Tubbs of Murfreesboro. Five daughters, Joann Worthington of Sparta, Annette Evans of Dowelltown, Connie Leftwich of Sparta, Shirley Rutland of Nashville, and Wanda Tubbs of Smithville. Twenty seven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren. One brother, Thomas B. Tubbs of Nashville, One sister-in-law, Inez Moore of Alexandria and many nieces and nephews. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
