58 year old Danny Ray Certain of Smithville died Saturday at DeKalb Community Hospital. He was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church and was a retired water treatment operator. The funeral will be Monday at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Bernard Houk will officiate and burial will be in the Banks Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the service at 2:00 p.m. Certain was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Lucille Miller Certain; a sister, Lois Ann Puckett; and a brother, Lynn Certain. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Betty Thomason Certain; one son, Trent Certain; one daughter, Tonya and Chris Roller; two grandchildren, Hunter and Chloe Robinson; and three sisters, Nettie Lou and Jerry Judkins, Marie Wilson, and Charlene Poss all of Smithville. One brother, James Certain of McMinnville. Three sisters-in-law, Janice and Richard Pollard, Louise Jones, and Virginia Jones. Special friends, Carlon Miller, Ronnie Taylor, Wayne Adcock, and Ronnie Davis all of Smithville. Several nieces, nephews, and friends also survive. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
