87 year old Frances West Cantrell of Smithville died Sunday at her residence. She was a homemaker and a Methodist. The funeral will be Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Curtis Jones will officiate and burial will be in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the service at 1:00 p.m. Cantrell was preceded in death by her parents, Bryan and Lillie Thweatt West; husband, Bethel "Doc" M. Cantrell; and three brothers, Cleve, Thomas, and Elzie West. Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn and husband Joe Shielly of California and Pamela and husband Glen Marlow of Baxter. One son, Glen and wife Nancy Cantrell of Smithville. Five grandchildren, Gary Stoneman, Denise Jantz, Annette "Nikki" Kellis-Shropshire, Michael Kellis, and John-Luther Puckett. Six step grandchildren, Lisa Shoemaker, Debbie Pettitt, Sandra Edison, Sharon Kotecki, Reba Jones, and Gina Nixon. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
