92 year old Ruth Garland Taylor of Alexandria died Monday at DeKalb Community Hospital. She was a homemaker and a member of the Indian Creek Baptist Church. The funeral will be Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at the Indian Creek Baptist Church. James Gibbs, Terry Fessler, and Mike Carpenter will officiate. Burial will be in the Snow Hill Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Love-Cantrell Funeral Home and Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the service at 1:00 p.m. at the church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anson Beckwith and Ocie Hale Beckwith Tramel; an infant daughter, Dianna Sue Taylor. Two sisters, Christine Moore and Virginia Dean Beckwith and a nephew, Jerry Moore. She is survived by her husband of almost 69 years, J.B. Taylor of Alexandria. A daughter, Judy and her husband Eddie Fuson and a grandson, Zachary and his wife Leigh Fuson all of Smithville. A brother, W.J. and his wife Jane Tramel of McMinnville and two sisters, Marguerite Jones of the Dale Ridge Community and Linda and husband Fred Stanley of Nashville. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
