78 year old Virginia Norabelle Tuttle Hesson of Smithville, passed away Sunday, July 6, 2014 at the NHC HealthCare Center in Smithville. She was born September 7, 1935 to her parents, the late John Wesley and Lorene Slayton Tuttle, Sr. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 children, Jenny Marmon, David Allen Hesson, Sr., and Thomas Richard Hesson; 1 brother, John Wesley Tuttle, Jr.; 2 sisters, Peggy Lorene Silcox and Maggie Pearl Gray; 2 grandsons, Jimmy and Bobby Alred. Ms. Virginia attended the House of Prayer and worked in the restaurant business for many years. She is survived by 1 daughter, Jo Alred of Old Hickory; granddaughter and caregiver, April (Martin) Coronado of Smithville; grandchildren, Gina Goodwin, Tanya Fox, Jerry Lynn Lowe, Thomas, Daniel, and Greg Hesson all of Cleveland, David (Kathy) Hesson of Murfreesboro, James Hesson of Smithville, Phillip Alred of Old Hickory; 2 sisters, Louise (Larry) Wilkes of Madison and Earlene Flatt of Murfreesboro; great-granddaughter and caregiver, Alissya Coronado; Several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 4:PM Monday, July 7, 2014 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Michael Hale officiating and burial to follow in Cannady Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday 10AM until the time of the service at 4:PM.
