75 year old Elmus Johnson of Smithville passed away Wednesday at his residence. He was a member of Trinity Assembly of God and a retired owner of Smithville Food Mart. The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral. Michael Campbell and Bernard Houk will officiate and burial will be in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday from 3-8 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. until the service at 2 p.m. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Johnson; parents, Lonnie and Gladys Wright Johnson; and two brothers, Leamon and Kenneth Johnson. Survivors include two sons, Jayson and Meshia Johnson and Brad Johnson of Smithville. Grandchildren, Karen Johnson of Smithville, Lydia Price of Lebanon, and Christopher Price of Georgia. A great grandchild, Brantley Brooks and five sisters-in-law, Betty Jo and Aubrey Wright, Mildred Johnson, Jessie Mae Johnson all of Smithville, Willette Hale of Alexandria, and Joyce Hale of Smithville.
