The DeKalb County Tigers and Lady Tigers dropped a pair of games at Upperman Friday night. The Lady Tigers lost 55 to 40 while the Tigers suffered a stinging 58 to 38 loss to the Bees.
In the girls game, Upperman led 14 to 10 after the first period, 31 to 18 at halftime, and 38 to 24 after the third period before winning 55 to 40.
Paige Winningham scored 12 points. Loren Cripps and McKenzie Poteete each scored 8 points. Jailyn Bolding and Morgan Pedigo each had 5 points and Ashli Chew scored 2 points.
For the boys, Upperman led 10 to 9 after the first period, 23 to 20 at halftime and 36 to 29 after the third period. The Bees went onto win 58 to 38.
Steven Jennings scored 13 points. Ethan Roller had 8. Justin Bone and Austin Frazier each with 6 points and Kaleb Ferrell scored 5.
DeKalb County will travel to York Institute on Tuesday night and to Cannon County Friday night. WJLE will have LIVE coverage.
