The DeKalb County High School basketball teams split with visiting Central Magnet of Murfreesboro Tuesday night in Smithville with the Tigers winning 65 to 32 and Lady Tigers losing 52 to 32.
In the girls game, DC trailed 19 to 7 after the first period, 27 to 11 at halftime, and 37 to 20 after the third period before falling 52 to 32.
Loren Cripps and Paige Winningham each scored 11 points. Jailyn Bolding had 5. Ashli Chew 4 and McKenzie Poteete with 1.
In the nightcap, the Tigers led 15 to 1 after the first period, 33 to 13 at halftime, and 58 to 21 after the third period before winning 65 to 32.
Aaron Patterson led the Tigers with 20 points. Steven Jennings 16. Justin Bone 9. Ethan Roller 6. Seth Wright 5, Kaleb Ferrell 4, Eli Lomas 3, and Jonathon Munoz with 2 points.
