Boyd Christian proved to be no match for the DeKalb County Tigers and Lady Tigers on opening night of DCHS Basketball in the annual Hall of Fame showdown Tuesday.
The Lady Tigers won 61 to 15 and the Tigers prevailed 79-25
In the girls game, the Lady Tigers led 14 to 2 after the 1st period, 28 to 5 at halftime, 43 to 12 after the 3rd period and won 61 to 15.
The Lady Tigers were led in scoring by Emme Colwell 17, Joni Robinson 16, Mallorie Hart 10, Leah Davis 6, Sophie Cripps 4, and Kenzie France 2, Mya Ruch 2, Megan Cantrell 2, Gracie Griffin 2.
In the boys game, DeKalb County led 23-4 after the 1st period, 51 to 9 at halftime, 65 to 25 after the 3rd period, and won 79 to 25.

DeKalb County will travel to Pickett County Friday for another pair of Hall of Fame games starting with the girls contest at 5:30 p.m.
