DCHS Splits with Warren County

The DCHS basketball teams hosted their border rivals from Warren County Thursday night with the Lady Tigers winning 43 to 35 while the Tigers lost 60 to 50.

In the girls game, DeKalb County led 14 to 8 after the 1st period. The game was tied at 16 by halftime. Warren County took a 28 to 25 lead by the end of the 3rd period but the Lady Tigers rallied to win 43 to 35.

Hannah Panter scored 14. Mya Ruch 7. Macy Hedge, Emme Colwell, and Lydia Brown each with 6 points and Kenzie France had 4.

For the boys, the Tigers led 16 to 5 after the 1st period. The game was tied at 23 by halftime. The Pioneers pulled ahead 43 to 32 by the end of the 3rd period and went on to win 60 to 50.

Chandler Vincent scored 12. Tanner Poss 9. Gentry Harpole 8 and Marshal Evins each with 8. Trey Jones 6. Colter Norris 4 and Austin Johnson scored 3 points.

The Tigers fall to 3-9 on the season while the Lady Tigers improve to 7-5.
