Graden Kirksey of Smithville competed in the local Re/Max Long Drive Competition at the Smithville Golf Club in June and won with the longest drive of 389 yards. This enabled him to compete in the regional qualifier in North Carolina on Saturday, Sept. 8th. Kirksey placed 3rd out of a field of 53 competitors in this competition with a longest drive of 362 yards. By doing this, he has now been given a ticket to compete in the annual Re/Max World Long Drive Championship in Mesquite, Nevada. This event brings together the top long drivers in the world to compete for a total purse of $500,000.
