The Lady Tigers got their first district win of the season Tuesday night at home, beating Central Magnet 55 to 42. The Tigers also won 80 to 25.
In the girls game, DC trailed 8 to 6 after the first period and 23 to 20 at halftime. The Lady Tigers were outscored 15 to 14 in the second period. DC fought back in the second half, outscoring Central Magnet 18 to 12 in the third period to take a 38 to 35 lead after three. The Lady Tigers extended the lead in the fourth quarter 17 to 7 and won 55 to 42.

In the nightcap, the Tigers led 27 to 7 after the first period and built a 47 to 13 advantage by halftime, outscoring Central Magnet 20 to 6 in the second quarter. The Tigers extended their lead in the third period 71 to 24, outscoring their district opponents 24 to 11. The black and gold went on to win 80 to 25, outscoring Central Magnet 9 to 1 in the fourth period.
Sonni Young had 29 points for the Tigers. Ethan Roller 10. Braxton Atnip and Will Molander each with 9. Stephen Howell 8. Eli Lomas 5. Zach Bandy and Zach Vincent each with 3 points, and Jordan Taylor and Justin Bone each scored 2.
