Shay Sullivan shot an 80 through 18 holes, and led the DCHS Lady Tiger golf team to their fourth straight District Tournament championship, Tuesday, at Ironwood Golf Course in Cookeville. In the process, Sullivan claimed the top individual medalist honor in the event for the second year in a row.
Cynthia Woodward finished fifth among individuals, with a 93, while Victoria Bennett tallied a 99 to place ninth overall. As a team, DeKalb County combined to shoot a 173 to far out-distance the competition. Clarkrange finished the tournament in second place with a 186, followed by Livingston Academy with a 187. Monterey came in with a 187, white Pickett County ended the tournament with a team score of 201.
The Lady Tigers will move on to the Region Tournament, which will be held next Monday, October 1st, at Cookeville Country Club. Tee time is set for 9:00 a.m.
