The DeKalb County Lady Tigers won a close game with visiting Macon County Tuesday night in Smithville 68 to 65 but the DC boys found the Macon County Tigers hard to tame and lost 82 to 58.
In the girls game, DeKalb County trailed 19 to 14 after the first period but the Lady Tigers led 35 to 24 at halftime and 48 to 45 after the third period before winning 68 to 65.
Loren Cripps scored 17 points. McKenzie Poteete had 16. Paige Winningham 14. Morgan Pedigo 13, Ashli Chew 6 and Jailyn Bolding with 2 points.
For the boys, DC trailed 19 to 11 after the first period, 45 to 26 at halftime, and 62 to 44 after the third period before falling 82 to 58.
Steven Jennings scored 14. Justin Bone 13. Ethan Roller 11. Aaron Patterson and Kaleb Ferrell each with 7 points. Eli Lomas 3 and Noah Parsley with 2 points.
