Saints Fall at Hartsville

The DeKalb Saints traveled to Hartsville Saturday to take on Satterfield Middle School and came out on the losing end 46-16

It didn't take Satterfield long to get on the scoreboard as they took the opening kick off back 80 yards for a touchdown. The 2 point try was good and Satterfield led 8-0 with 7:46 left in the first quarter.

Satterfield scored again with 2:55 left in the first period on a 6 yard touch down run. The 2 point try was good and Satterfield led 16-0.

With only 19.6 seconds left in the first quarter Satterfield scored again, this time on a 3 yard touchdown run. The 2 point try was no good but Satterfield had built a 22-0 lead by the end of the first quarter.

In the second quarter with 2:10 left, Satterfield scored on a Saints fumble returning the ball 4 yards for a touchdown. The 2 point try was good and Satterfield led 30-0 at halftime.

The Saints got on the scoreboard in the third quarter with 2:15 left on a 1 yard touchdown run by Quarterback Joey Moon. The 2 point try by Seth Wright was good and Satterfield led 30-8.

Satterfield answered with just 10 seconds left in the third quarter on a 65 yard touchdown pass play for the score. The 2 point try was good and Satterfield led 38-8 at the end of the third quarter.

The Saints scored their last touchdown in the fourth quarter as Quarterback Dillion Stover found Taylor Lee on a 47 yard pass play. The 2 point try was good and Satterfield's lead was cut to 38-16.

Satterfield added one more score in the fourth quarter with 2:36 left in the game on a 70 yard kick off return. The 2 point try was good and Satterfield went on to win 46-16.

The Saints fall to 1-3 and will travel to Cannon County this Thursday night. Kick off is set for 6:30 p.m.
