The DeKalb County High School Tiger golf team picked up two more match victories, Thursday at RiverWatch. The Tigers shot a 157 for the afternoon, which was 16 strokes better than White County, who posted a 173. Smith County finished third with a 209.
Payne Denman shot a career-best 29, which is the lowest recorded score of Chris Vance's coaching tenure at DCHS. Austin Garrett shot a 40, while Grant James and Logan Clark each tallied a 44.
Meanwhile, the Lady Tiger golfers shot a 100 for the afternoon and fell four strokes short of White County, who posted a 96. Shay Sullivan shot a 42 for the DC girls, while Kalli Mitchell shot a 58.
The Tiger golf team is now 12-11 in match play this season, while the Lady Tigers are 3-10. The DCHS golfers will take part in the BRAC Invitational at the McMinnville Country Club, next Tuesday.
