The DeKalb County Tigerettes scored the go ahead run in the seventh inning to defeat the Smith County Owlettes 5 to 4 Tuesday in the District softball tournament at Baxter
The Tigerettes scored five runs on eight hits and made four errors. Smith County scored four runs on six hits and made one error.
DeKalb County scored two runs in the fourth inning, two runs in the fifth, and one run in the seventh inning. Smith County scored one run in the fifth and three runs in the sixth inning
Lauren Colwell pitched six innings and struck out two. Shauna Taylor entered the game in the seventh inning and got the win. She struck out one.

The DeKalb County Tigerettes, who defeated Smith County 5 to 4 in the District Softball Tournament Tuesday, will play Upperman today (Wednesday) at 4:00 p.m. at Upperman High School in Baxter. If the Tigerettes lose, they will play either Cannon County or Livingston Academy in the losers bracket of the tournament tonight at 8:00 p.m. WJLE will have LIVE coverage
