Tigers Conclude Regular Season with Win over Watertown

The DeKalb County Tigers knocked off Watertown 8 to 7 to conclude the regular season Tuesday in Smithville
The Tigers scored three runs in the first and second innings and one run in the fifth and seventh innings. Watertown scored four runs in the first inning, one run in the fifth, and two runs in the sixth inning.

The Tigers used four pitchers in the game. John Roller went one and a third innings and gave up four runs on one hit. He struck out one and walked four. Chase Hoke pitched for one and two thirds innings and gave up two hits. He struck out four and walked two. Stephen Howell went two and a third innings on the mound and gave up three runs on three hits. He struck out four and walked four. Devin Summers, the winning pitcher, went one and two thirds innings and gave up two hits. He struck out two.

Evan Curtis, Steven Page, and Aaron Patterson each had two hits in the game. Stephen Howell, Hunter Graham, Cody Puckett, and John Roller each had a hit.

The district tournament starts later this week.
