The DeKalb County High School Tiger golf team lost a close match with Macon County and Jackson County, Monday, at Cumberland Golf Course. The Tigers shot a 159 for the afternoon, just three strokes behind Macon County, who finished with a 156. Jackson County came in second place with a 157.
Payne Denman shot a 32 to lead the Tigers, followed by Austin Garrett with a 37. Logan Clark tallied a 43, while Keith Ferrell and Ian Johnson each shot a 47.
Meanwhile, Shay Sullivan shot a 40 to lead the Lady Tigers, who totaled an 89 for the afternoon. That was ten strokes better than Jackson County, who finished with a 99. Keeli Bullard shot a career-best 49 for DeKalb County.
