The DeKalb County Tigers battled Macon County into overtime Thursday night but the black and gold came up a bucket short, losing 54 to 52 at Lafayette. The Lady Tigers won their game 58 to 47.
In the boys game, DC trailed 15 to 9 after the first period and 24 to 20 at halftime. DeKalb County grabbed a 35 to 32 lead by the end of the third period and Ethan Roller sent the game into overtime by knocking down a three pointer at the end of regulation and then converting on a free throw. The game was tied at 47 by the end of the fourth period. Macon County outscored DeKalb 7 to 5 in the overtime session to get the win.
For the girls, DC led 12 to 9 after the first period, 23 to 21 at halftime, and 39 to 30 after the third period before winning 58 to 47.
