The DCHS Tigers rallied in the fourth period for a 73 to 63 come from behind win over visiting Bledsoe County Monday night in Smithville. It was exactly the reverse for the Lady Tigers as they lost a fourth quarter lead and fell to the visitors 48 to 42.
In the girls game, DeKalb County led 15 to 8 after the 1st period, 25 to 20 at halftime, and 35 to 29 after the 3rd period before falling behind and losing 48 to 42.
Emme Colwell scored 19 for the Lady Tigers. Joni Robinson 7, and Megan Walker, Madison Parsley, Sophie Cripps, and Mya Ruch each scored 4.
In the boys game, the Tigers trailed 20 to 12 after the 1st period, 33 to 30 at halftime, and 56 to 49 before rallying for a 73 to 63 victory.
Tanner Poss scored 14 for the Tigers. Marshal Evins and Austin Johnson had 12. Colter Norris 11. Nathan Atkins 10. Michael Elswick 9 and Trey Jones with 5.
DCHS travels to Sparta tonight (Tuesday, November 21) to take on White County starting with the girls game at 6:00 p.m. WJLE plans LIVE coverage.
