WJLE is beginning a new “Pet of the Week” segment to feature a lovable critter at the DeKalb Animal Shelter that needs a good home.

This week’s “Pet of the Week”, is actually two!

“We are happy to introduce Sugar and Sonny! They are beagle mixed siblings, and a bonded pair,” said Megan Moore, Director of the Shelter.

“We are looking for a special home for these two, because they must stay together. They are six to seven years old, calm, well mannered, and very loving. They weigh approximately thirty to forty pounds each and are both fixed. They both have sweet personalities and would make someone a pair of wonderful companions. We sure love them and are hopeful with your help we can find them a perfect home,” said Moore.

Sugar and Sonny’s adoption fee is forty dollars.

For more information on Sugar and Sonny please call the DeKalb Animal Coalition Shelter or if you are interested in giving them their forever home, come by the shelter and pick up an adoption application. You must fill out an application and meet with shelter employees to be considered to adopt.

The phone number is 615-597-1363.

The shelter is open Thursday and Friday from noon until 4 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until noon.
