50 year old George “Junebug” Roller, Jr. of Smithville passed away Friday at St. Thomas DeKalb Hospital. He was a Baptist and a nurseryman. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Morris Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the service at 2 p.m. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rose Anna Morris Rigsby. Survivors include his wife, Mary Atnip Roller of Smithville. Two children, George Roller, III and Abbey of Smithville and Molly Lawrence of Smithville. Three grandchildren, Aiden Lawrence, Ava Grace Roller, and Kase Bryson Roller all of Smithville. Father, George “Bo” and Mary Shirley Roller of McMinnville. A brother, Victor “Hopper” Roller and Annette of Smithville. A sister, Lynna Brittain and David of Shelbyville. Several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, and friends also survive. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in memory of George to help with funeral expenses.
