Charles Wade Ramsey, Age 88, of Old Hickory, TN passed away April 22, 2019.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Norma Jean Ramsey; parents, Bill & Viola Ramsey; siblings, Fowler Ramsey, Ray Ramsey, Willie Ramsey, & Hazel Alexander; grandson, Christopher Robinson Ramsey.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Ramsey; sons, Ricky (Eunice) Ramsey of Alexandria & Charles Keith (April) Ramsey of Goodlettsville; daughters, Brenda (Kennie) George of Mt. Juliet & Pam (Jamey) Cashman of Franklin, brother, Jimmy (Judy) Ramsey of Gassaway; sisters, Jessie (Doyle) Christian of Woodbury & Jean (Curtis) George of Woodbury; grandchildren, Amber (Ryan) Hall, Mathew George, Adam (Lairen) Warden, Tracy (Tad) Webb, Andrea Ladd, Blakely Allmon, & Trey Cioccia; 16 great-grandchildren. Charles was a veteran of the Korean War, retired from Dupont and a faithful member of Old Hickory Church of Christ. He loved his family, church, fishing, camping, Gatlinburg & the mountains. Visitation will be at Phillips-Robinson Hadley Chapel, 1700 Hadley Ave. on Wed. April 24 from 3pm-8pm. The service will be at Old Hickory Church of Christ, 1001 Hadley Ave. on Thurs. April 25 at 11am with 1 hour of visitation prior. Brother Don Loftis Officiating. Interment immediately following at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Family & friends will serve as pallbearers.
