Smithville Fire Department Snuffs Out Blaze at Kingston Factory

The Smithville Volunteer Fire Department was summoned to Kingston Incorporated on Miller Road this afternoon (Monday).

According to Chief Charlie Parker a fire started in a pile of crates and pallets outside behind the building. Smoke from the fire spread inside the factory forcing an evacuation of the employees.

No one was injured and there was apparently no structural damage to the building. Smithville Police and DeKalb EMS were also on the scene.
