A new alderman has been appointed to the Alexandria City Council.
Beth Tripp was sworn in during Tuesday night’s regular monthly meeting by city attorney Vester Parsley after being appointed by the aldermen to fill a vacancy.
The makeup of the Board of Mayor and Aldermen is as follows:
Mayor Bennett Armstrong and Aldermen Lloyd Dyer, Lynne Dickerson, Charles Fraser, Rusty Bradshaw, and Beth Tripp. Terms for each position expire the 1st Thursday of August 2022 except for Dickerson’s term which ends the 1st Thursday of August, 2024
