The DeKalb County Tigerettes lost 14-7 at Watertown on Tuesday.
DC grabbed the lead with five runs in the second inning. Kennedy Polk’s sacrifice fly scored one run with singles by Madison Martin and Jacey Hatfield, and an error on a ball put in play by Morgan Walker
Watertown took the lead for good scoring eight runs in the fourth inning.
The Watertown pitcher surrendered seven runs on 12 hits over seven innings, striking out three.
Ellie cripps took the loss for DeKalb County. She went three and two-thirds innings, allowing nine runs on 11 hits, striking out three and walking one.
DeKalb County racked up 12 hits on the day including from Emma Johnson, and Polk. Hatfield went 3-for-5 at the plate to lead the Tigerettes in hits.
