The DCHS basketball teams completed a season sweep of Watertown with wins at home Tuesday night in Smithville.
The Lady Tigers won 60 to 41 while the Tigers were 64 to 57 winners.
In the previous meetings on December 3, the Lady Tigers won at Watertown 41 to 25 while the Tigers claimed a 70 to 33 victory.
On Tuesday night, the Lady Tigers and Watertown were tied at 8 after the 1st period. DC led 26 to 20 at halftime and 44 to 30 after the 3rd period before notching a 60 to 41 win.
Kadee Ferrell scored 21 points followed by Ella VanVranken 15, Madison Martin 8, Dare Collins and Avery Agee each with 6, and Xharia Lyons 4.
The Tigers led the purple Tigers 18 to 5 after the 1st period but the game was tied at 27 by halftime. Watertown took a 43 to 38 lead by the end of the 3rd period but the Tigers rallied for a 64 to 57 win.
Elishah Ramos scored 17 followed by Conner Close 15, Stetson Agee 10, Jordan Young 9, Jordan Parker, Nathaniel Crook, and Isaac Knowles each with 3 and Robert Wheeler and Zach Birmingham each with 2.
DeKalb County will travel to Crossville Friday night, January 14 to take on Cumberland County starting with the girls game at 6 p.m. followed by the boys contest. WJLE will have LIVE coverage.
