Full time employees of the DeKalb County School District would be allowed up to three paid bereavement days per school year for their absence due to the death of an immediate family member under a policy change by the Board of Education.
The school board voted to make the change on first reading during Thursday night’s regular monthly meeting effective with the 2022-23 school year. Second and final reading will be scheduled at the April meeting.
The current policy provides for one paid bereavement day.
The board also approved the location for the 2022 DCHS Prom April 22 from 8 to 11 p.m. at The Barn at Rowland Hills at 293 Old Highway 53 at Liberty
