DeKalb West School inducted its newest slate of Junior Beta Club officers and members. In a special candlelight ceremony (Nov. 2) in the DWS gym, President Drew Cook took the oath of office. Vice President Lucy Moore accepted her position as did Secretary Camille Barton, Reporter Katie Beth Swearinger, and Chaplain Autumn Crook. Middle school teachers recommended Gabe Blair and Bella Gonzalez as the 7th grade representatives and Christian Cripps and Hailey Brown as 6th grade representatives.
“I am excited to see this year’s officers leading and setting an example for all our Junior Betas and all other students at DWS,” Lead DWS Junior Beta Sponsor Jessica Antoniak said. “We are also excited to welcome our new members to the club. Like our officers, the new members are some of the students at DeKalb West who have shown great character and strong academics in the classroom.”
Students in the 6th through 8th grades who met the official qualifications were officially recognized for the accomplishment.
