69 year old Jimmy Loyd Pascal passed away Monday at his Smithville home. He was a Baptist and disabled. The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home and burial will be in DeKalb Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. until the service at 11 a.m. He was preceded in death by his mother, Patsy Pascal Taylor, a brother, James Thomas Pascal, and a sister Pearl Caldwell. Survivors include a son, Benjamin Pascal of Lewisburg; two grandchildren, Nevaeh Pascal of McMinnville and Piper Pascal of Lewisburg. One sister, Helen and Jewel Johnson and a brother, Shirley Pascal all of Smithville. One sister-in-law, Josephine Pascal of Georgia. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Lois Norene Randall

97 year old Lois Norene Randall of Smithville passed away Sunday at the Webb House Retirement Center. She was a homemaker, member of the First Baptist Church, and the Eastern Star. The funeral will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Burial will be in Whorton Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 4-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the service at 1 p.m. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harmon Redmon and Oma Pack Summers; husband, Claude Randall; daughter, Debra Fuson; brothers, Garlon, Jack, Lloyd, Nelson, and Mack Redmon; and sisters, Nevelene Reeder and Norene Anderson. She is survived by a sister, Jeanette Smithson. A sister-in-law, Jo Dean Redmon. Special nephew, Larry Redmon and several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. In addition to flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Youth Fund.

Pattie Brown Johnson age 83 of Liberty, passed away Saturday morning, May 18, 2019 at St. Thomas DeKalb Hospital. She was born January 13, 1936 to her parents, the late John Robert and Bonnie Inez Martin Johnson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, John, Frank, Bill, Samuel and Robert Estes; sisters, Ella Murphy, Ova Mathis, Jessie Bauman, Jean Alford and Lucille Brandon. Miss Johnson was a member of Christ Pentecostal Church and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She is survived by 2 sisters, Eula Presley of McMinnville and Christine Murphy of Smithville; 1 brother, Toy Lawson of Liberty and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday, May 20, 2019 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Billy Hale and Bro. Toy Lawson officiating and burial will follow in Salem Cemetery in Liberty. Visitation will be Monday 10:AM until the time of the service at 1 PM. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

Minnie Oleta Murphy age 77 of Smithville, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville. She was born February 29, 1942 to her parents, the late Horace and Ada Martin Thomas. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Rickey Wayne Murphy; 2 sisters, Bertha Mae Bennett and Retha Frazier; 4 brothers, James, Joe, Jay and Eugene Thomas. Mrs. Minnie attended Outreach Baptist Church and was a former restaurant worker and housekeeper. She is survived by her husband, Rickey E. Murphy of Smithville; 2 daughters, Teresa Thomas (Jerry Chapman) and Norma Ervin (Joe Reed) both of Smithville; grandchildren, Chris Davis, Brittany (Brandon) Zimmerman, Heather (William) Parsell, Kayla Davis (Eric Petty), Kathleen Thomas (Carl Cantrell), Jessie Herman, Jonathon Chapman and Anthony Murphy; great-grandchildren, Braylin Thomas, Chloe and Lucas Parsell, Carson and Canaan Davis, Brantly, Lincoln, Cameron and Rheagan Zimmerman, Stephanie Murphy, Jessica Murphy, and Christina Murphy; special friends, Ann, Johnny and Timothy Chapman. Funeral services will be 3 PM Monday, May 20, 2019 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Nathan Thomason officiating and burial will follow in Cannady Cemetery. 71-year-old Bobby Lane Keith of Newport, formerly of Smithville, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2019. Bobby was a United States Army veteran and served during the Vietnam War. The family has chosen direct cremation. A memorial visitation with the family will be held from 3:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at the Love-Cantrell Funeral Home Chapel.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carnell and Claude Keith; mother and father-in-law, Carrie and Charles Fuson; his beloved wife, Paulette (affectionately called Poppy); brothers, Carl, Phillip, and Vernon and sister, Brenda; and sisters-in-law, Cathy and Dianna.
Bobby is survived by his children, Terry Keith, Lane (Mandy) Keith and Dori Leigh Keith; grandchildren, Kayla, Katie Leigh, Carrie, Ethan, Gavin, and Peyton; great grandchildren, Jayden, Caiden, and Anisten; brothers, Paul (Phylis) Keith and Stevie Keith; and brother-in-law, Tommy Hildreth.

Annette Charlene Rackley Gaus age 50 of Smithville passed away Wednesday morning May 15, 2019 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro. She was born September 22, 1968 to her parents, the late Charles Rackley and Peggy Bissonette. She attended Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Mike Gaus; Son: James Lee Pittard; Paternal Grandparents: Bill and Altie Marie Rackley; Maternal Grandparents: Edward and Betty Jo Vanatta; Uncle: Johnny Wayne Rackley. Funeral services for Annette will be held 2:PM Friday May 17, 2019 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bros. David McMinn and Michael Hale officiating and burial to follow in the Whorton Springs Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Friday 10:AM until time of the service at 2:PM. Survivors include 1 sister: Paulette Keaton of McMinnville; Brother-in-law: Charlie Evans of McMinnville; Nephews: Cody (Danielle) Keaton, Hunter (Brittany) Keaton both of McMinnville.
