Scott Garrett of Smithville has been named FirstBank City President of the Cookeville and Smithville locations.

Garrett comes to FirstBank with 32 years of financial service experience. Prior to joining FirstBank, he served as a loan officer, branch manager, and most recently the city president and commercial manager at another bank.
“I look forward to working with our team and expanding FirstBank’s reach in the Cookeville and Smithville markets, as well as representing the bank in the communities,” Garrett said. “I am thrilled to join the FirstBank family and contribute to our continued growth.”
Garrett is a graduate of Tennessee Tech University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Finance degree. He attended the Louisiana State University Graduate School of Banking and completed the Tennessee Bankers Association School of Banking at Vanderbilt. He is also a certified risk management associate. He and his wife, Kelley, have been married for 28 years.
