Duke and Cox Capture Little Mister and Miss Crowns (VIEW VIDEOS HERE)

Jackson Denton Duke and Clara Ruth Cox were crowned Little Mister and Miss at the DeKalb County Fair Tuesday night.

Duke is the 4 year old son of John and Whitney Duke of Smithville and Cox is the 4 year old daughter of Brandon and Whitney Cox of Smithville.

They succeed the 2017 Little Mister and Miss, Zailan Martinez and Caitlyn Lee Adcock. Martinez is the 6 year old son of Michelle and Michael Martinez of Smithville and Adcock is the 7 year old daughter of Jessie and Tia Adcock of Smithville.

The Little Miss contest featured 44 girls and 6 boys were in the Litter Mister pageant ages 4-6.

First runner-up in the Little Miss contest was Destiny Keys, the 6 year old daughter of Rick and Kendra Guinn of Smithville.

Brylee Michelle Key of Alexandria, was second runner-up. She is the 6 year old daughter of Shannon and Holly Key

Third runner-up was Zoie Dee Ashburn, the 6 year old daughter of Jeremy and Trista Ashburn of Smithville.

Paisley Marie Bain, the 5 year old daughter of Larry and Rachel Bain of Smithville, was fourth runner-up. She was also named Most Photogenic

Abigail Hale was Miss Manners. She is the 4 year old granddaughter of Candy Hale of Smithville.

Others in the top ten were Eden Marie Donnell, 4 year old daughter of Travis and Amber Donnell of Alexandria; Brinley Sage, 4 year old daughter of Leshe and Austin Maxwell of Alexandria; Charley Loren Prichard, 6 year old daughter of Andy and Chrissy Prichard of Liberty; Shaniya Bates, 4 year old daughter of Ada and Tom Bates of Liberty; and Lydia Brooke Wright, 6 year old daughter of Jeff and Nicole Wright of Smithville.

Other participants were Makiah Jean Hatfield, 4 year old daughter of Jeff Hatfield of Smithville; Aydalyn Elizabeth Cook, 4 year old daughter of Cora Beth Rhody and Dustin Cook of Smithville; Lakelynn Taylor Rushing, 4 year old daughter of Allison Taylor of Smithville; Addison Paige Curtis, 5 year old daughter of Heather Page and John Curtis of Smithville; Katy Jo Bowen, 4 year old daughter of Joseph and Kimberly Bowen of Smithville; Averi Gracella Speaks, 5 year old daughter of Justin and Donna Speaks of Smithville; Lyra Dell McMinn, 6 year old daughter of Nathan and Amanda McMinn of Smithville; Alexis Nicole Graham, 6 year old daughter of Derek and Andria Graham of Smithville; Arraya Jenae Taylor, 5 year old daughter of Angie Taylor of Smithville ; Rebekah Elizabeth Goss, 6 year old daughter of Anna White and Rich Goss of Dowelltown; and Hannah Lynnlee Hubner, 6 year old daughter of Amanda Hutchinson and Charlie Hubner of Alexandria.

In the Little Mister Pageant, the first runner-up was Noah Bradley Hall, 5 year old son of Bradley and Lacey Hall of Alexandria.

Emmitt Hale was second runner-up. He is the grandson of Candy Hale of Smithville.

Third runner-up went to Aden Houser, 5 year old son of Tia Bajar and MacKenley Turner of Smithville. He was also named Mister Photogenic.

Jonathan (Cain) Hall, 6 year old son of Johnny Hall and Cayden Cantrell of Smithville was fourth runner-up.

Mister Manners is Kayson Taylor Staggs, 4 year old son of Danielle Staggs, raised by David and Sandra Bain, of Smithville.




DeKalb Fair to Feature Demolition Derby and Other Attractions Tonight (VIEW VIDEOS HERE)

The DeKalb County Fair will feature the Demolition Derby tonight at 7 p.m. at the T.C. McMillen Arena.

Other events tonight include:

Cash drawings will be held each night at 9:30 p.m. at the Lions Club Pavilion.

Luke Judkins of Smithville won $500 Monday night.

Enjoy rides on the midway and commercial, agricultural, women, and youth exhibits inside the commercial building and Kenneth Sandlin Center

DeKalb Fair Hosts Lip Sync Battle (VIEW VIDEO HERE)

The DeKalb County Fair featured the first round of the Lip Sync battle Monday night.

Four participants, 16 year old Caiti Milligan of Smithville, 15 year old Levi Driver of Liberty, 9 year old Kalyee Kent of Smithville, and 49 year old Billie Ann Tubbs of Smithville will compete in the finals on Friday night at the fair.

The winner will receive the Lip Sync Battle trophy and $250 cash. The First runner-up will get $150 cash and the second runner up will take home a $50 cash prize. The audience decides the winners.
