Two people were found with methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop last week.
24-year-old Dakota Lee Fathera of High Street, Alexandria and 18-year-old Megan Michelle Madden of Fisher Avenue, Smithville are each charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver. Fathera is also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond is $5,000. Madden’s bond is $2,500. Both will be in court on November 7.
Sheriff Patrick Ray said that on October 21 a deputy pulled over a red Dodge Journey and after obtaining consent from the owner to search the vehicle, the officer found a blue bag that held a clear baggie with a crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine. The container weight was 0.82 grams. Neither Fathera nor Madden, both back seat passengers claimed possession of the drugs.
A black bag was also found with a glass pipe and inside was a crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine. Fathera allegedly claimed possession of the paraphernalia.
