Longing for a Lap Cat? Andy’s Your Boy (View Video Here)

June 5, 2021
By: Dwayne Page

Andy is a lover! He loves people and other critters including fellow cats and kittens.

This six month old feline is the WJLE/DeKalb Animal Shelter featured “Pet of the Week”.

“Andy has already been neutered and he is up to date on all his vaccinations. He is super affectionate. He is great with kittens and adult cats and great with people. He’s a lover and would definitely be somebody’s lap cat,” said Shelter employee Emmaly Bennett.

“Andy’s adoption fee is $60. If you are interested go to our website at https://www.dekalbanimalshelter.com/ and look for him under the adoptable pet tab. Fill out that application and we will call you for an appointment to come in and meet him,” said Bennett.

By: Dwayne Page

A 61 year old truck driver escaped injury this morning (Friday) in a rollover crash on Highway 146 near the Mt Pisgah Free Will Baptist Church.

Trooper Bobby Johnson of the Tennessee Highway Patrol said Billy Branam of Chattanooga was driving north in a 2019 International Box Truck hauling produce when he ran off the right side of the roadway and overcorrected. The truck then came back across the highway and went off the left side before plowing through a fence and hitting a utility pole. The truck then overturned and came to rest on its side in a field.
