Riley Arrested for Credit Card Fraud and Theft

A Liberty man who allegedly stole a credit card and used it six times has been charged in the case.

37 year old Bradley Thomas Riley of Pea Ridge Road, Liberty is facing six counts of fraudulent use of a credit card and one count of theft of property. Riley’s bond is $17,500 and his court date is August 9.

Sheriff Patrick Ray said that on Monday, July 9 Riley stole a credit card and used it three times that day, twice at Pilot for $1.00 and then $13.77. He then went to Walmart and used the card for $196.65. The following day, July 10, Riley went back to Pilot where he used the card for $24. He also returned twice to Walmart for $200 each time but the transactions were declined.

The case was investigated by detectives of the Sheriff’s Department.




Cotter Caught Stealing Gas from Truck

A man was caught stealing gas from a truck last week in Dowelltown.

48 year old Bradley Kent Cotter of Sims Street, Dowelltown is charged with theft of property and vandalism under $500. Cotter’s bond is $7,000 and his court date is August 9.

Sheriff Patrick Ray said that on Wednesday, July 25 a deputy was dispatched to the parking lot of the Dowelltown Post Office where someone reported seeing a suspicious person under a truck that was for sale.

When the officer arrived the man, Cotter was still under the truck. The deputy discovered that Cotter had cut a hole in the fuel filter tube and had a piece of garden hose running through the hole extending to the gas tank.




Narramore Found with Meth Tries to Eat It

A man found with methamphetamine last week tried to get rid of the evidence by eating it.

35 year old Lee Thomas Narramore of Highland Drive, Sparta is charged with possession of methamphetamine, manufacture, deliver, sale, or possess and for tampering with evidence. His bond is $13,000 and he will make a court appearance August 9.

Sheriff Patrick Ray said that on Friday, July 27 Narramore was found with two small baggies of a white powdery substance which weighed 1.1 grams. When confronted by the arresting officer, Narramore tried to swallow one of the baggies of meth but the deputy was able to retrieve it.
