Adam Kefauver Resigns as DCHS Baseball Coach and Teacher

DeKalb County High School is in search of a new baseball coach.

Jon Adam Kefauver has resigned as coach and Wellness and Physical Education teacher to become assistant principal at Cookeville High School.

Kefauver came to DCHS in 2016 after serving three years as head baseball coach and as a Wellness and Physical Education teacher at Stone Memorial High School in Crossville.

In his three seasons at DCHS, Kefauver compiled an overall record of 50-37 and 23-11 in the District with one regular season District Championship.

Indiana Man Gets 8 Years Probation for Aggravated Statutory Rape

An Indiana man charged with having unlawful sex with a minor was sentenced in DeKalb County Criminal Court Tuesday.

35 year old James Skyler Miller of South 25th Street New Castle Indiana entered a plea to two counts of aggravated statutory rape and violation of the sex offender registry. He received a 4 year
sentence in each case to run consecutively for a total of 8 years on TDOC probation and concurrently with a Jackson County case against him. Miller was given jail credit from August 12, 2018 to June 18, 2019 and he must have no contact with the victim.

Miller was indicted in October 2018 for allegedly having sex with a 16 year old in May and July 2017. Miller was 33 years old at that time. He is a registered sex offender in Indiana.
