WJLE’s Fearless Forecasters College Football Talk Show Airs Today (Thursday) at 4:30 p.m.

Ricky Atnip is still out front as the leader among WJLE’s Fearless Forecasters picking college football winners.
Atnip has the best overall record at 113-37 followed by Jared Davis at 110-40, Grant James 108-42, Scott Brown 103-47, Darrell Gill and John Pryor each at 101-49, and Chad Kirby and Scott Goodwin each at 98-52.
For the week, Ricky Atnip, Scott Brown, and John Pryor each tied for the best record at 9-6, Grant James and Jared Davis each went 8-7, Darrell Gill and Scott Goodwin were each at 7-8, and Chad Kirby was 5-10.
Four Fearless Forecasters hit their underdog picks last week. Ricky Atnip added 13.5points to his total with Liberty’s 21-19 win over Arkansas. Jared Davis picked up 4.5 points as N.C. State defeated Wake Forest 30-21. Scott Goodwin got 3.5 points with Baylor’s 38-35 victory over Oklahoma and John Pryor picked up 4 points as Notre Dame beat Clemson 35-14.
Overall, Ricky Atnip now leads in underdog points with 20 followed by Darrell Gill with 17.5, Scott Brown and John Pryor each with 17, Jared Davis 15.5, Scott Goodwin 14.5, and Grant James with 11.
Today (Thursday) the Forecasters will be picking winners in the following games:
TCU at Texas, North Carolina at Wake Forest, UCF at Tulane, East Carolina at Cincinnati, Washington at Oregon, Louisville at Clemson, Maryland at Penn State, LSU at Arkansas, Texas A&M at Auburn, Kansas State at Baylor, South Carolina at Florida, Alabama at Ole Miss, Vanderbilt at Kentucky, Missouri at Tennessee, and in the NFL the Denver Broncos will be at the Tennessee Titans.

DeKalb Angel Tree Signs-Ups for One Day Only Friday, November 11

The 28th Annual DeKalb County Angel Tree Project signups will be for ONE DAY ONLY on Friday, November 11 with no exceptions.
Application time is from 8:00 am until 7:00 pm at the First Baptist Church Life Enrichment Center, 101 West Church Street, Smithville under the carport.
Applicants must be DeKalb County residents. Children from birth to no older than age 12 by December 25, 2022 are eligible. You must bring photo identification and a bill with the correct current DeKalb County address of the person applying. You must also provide social security cards and birth certificates (Mother’s copy is okay) for all children listed on the application. Guardian paperwork for temporarily placed children is acceptable. Documents are returned to the applicant, only the application is kept. Please make sure you fill out the application as completely and accurately as possible.
If an applicant cannot appear in person, their application can be submitted by someone else as long as all of the required information and documentation is presented. Come prepared with all of the necessary documentation to complete your application between 8:00 am and 7:00 pm on Friday, November 11th. This is the only day that applications will be available and accepted. NO EXCEPTIONS. Due to continued COVID 19 issues, face coverings are required and social distancing practices will be observed. Governor Bill Lee Carries DeKalb County in Tuesday Election

Tennessee Governor Bill Lee won re-election Tuesday beating Democratic challenger Jason Brantley Martin.
Statewide, Governor Lee won with 1,128,097 votes to 572,153 for Martin. In DeKalb County, Lee won 4,122 to 909 for Martin.
Lee carried all 12 precincts in DeKalb County as well as the early voting and absentee vote.
