A Smithville man has a date with a judge after leading deputies on a high-speed pursuit.

30-year-old Rio Cortez Hubbard of Green Meadow Drive is charged with evading arrest and reckless endangerment. He is under a $7,000 bond and will appear in court on February 24.

Sheriff Patrick Ray said that on Monday, February 7 a deputy stopped a white Mercedes C300 on West Broad Street in Smithville for failure to maintain its lane of travel and speeding. When the deputy got out of his car, the driver of the Mercedes sped away. The officer began a pursuit, which reached speeds of over 100 miles per hour into Warren County. During the pursuit, Hubbard passed vehicles on the wrong side of the roadway placing the public in imminent danger. A Warren County Sheriff’s Department officer pulled over the vehicle and identified Hubbard as the driver.

26-year-old Hunter Kyle Graham of Game Ridge Road, Smithville is charged with aggravated assault. He is under a $10,000 bond and will appear in court on February 24.

Sheriff Ray said that on February 9 a deputy was summoned to a home on Game Ridge Road due to a report of domestic violence. Upon arrival the deputy spoke with the victim who reported that she and Graham had been in an argument which resulted in Graham hitting her in the face with his fist. He then put his arm around her neck and tried to strangle her.

30-year-old Saulo Vasquez Domingo of Spring Hill Circle, Lebanon, is charged with driving under the influence. He is under a $2,500 bond and his court date is set for February 24.

Sheriff Ray said that on February 10 a deputy spotted a red Dodge Dakota traveling at a high rate of speed on Nashville Highway and noticed that it left its lane of travel multiple times. The officer pulled over the vehicle and spoke with the driver, Domingo who had a strong smell of alcohol coming from his person and he was unsteady on his feet. Located in the vehicle were multiple open containers of alcoholic beverages. He submitted to field sobriety tasks but performed poorly.

43-year-old Benjamin Theodore Taylor of Lee Braswell Road, Smithville, was arrested for violation of an order of protection. He is under a $2,500 bond and is due in court on March 3.

Sheriff Ray said that on February 12 a deputy spoke with Taylor and a woman at Taylor’s residence and learned that she had a no contact order for Taylor to keep away from her. Taylor was placed in custody.
