Fundraiser Announced for Constable Mark Milam

July 14, 2023
By: Dwayne Page

Friends of fifth district constable Mark Milam have announced a fundraiser for this well known and loved public servant who is being treated at Vanderbilt Hospital for a serious medical condition.

In a social media post, Circuit Court Clerk Susan Martin wrote “ As I’m sure most of you are aware, Constable Mark Milam is in Vanderbilt Hospital with a serious infection in the hip that he had replaced. To date they have taken that replacement out and are trying to get rid of the infection and then will have to do another hip replacement surgery. This will have him out of commission for quite some time. The elected officials met yesterday afternoon to come up with a plan to bless him and his family as Mark goes above and beyond for everyone that he meets. We have each decided that instead of trying to do a meal fund raiser that we would each ask at least ten people to personally match what we are giving, which is a minimum of $100, or any amount that you feel led to give. You can bring your donations to my office or any of the elected officials’ offices. Cash is preferred due to banking restrictions. We would like to have all donations by Friday, July 28th, if possible.

Also, in the near future Tennessee Credit is planning to host an on-line silent auction and raffle so please be on the lookout for that”

Milam is in his 8th term as fifth district constable and has served for 31 years.
