Fans May Purchase Advance Tickets to Lady Tigers’ State Tournament Game

Fans traveling to Murfreesboro for the State Tournament Game Wednesday to see the DCHS Lady Tigers take on Marshall County may purchase tickets in advance at https://gofan.co/app/school/TSSAA . The tickets for Wednesday and Thursday are $10.00 each. You may also purchase tickets at the door.

 




Smithville City Council Meeting Postponed

The Smithville Mayor and Aldermen will meet in regular monthly session Monday night, March 11 at 6 p.m. at city hall.

The meeting had been scheduled for Monday, March 4 at 6 p.m. but has been postponed until March 11 at 6 p.m. at city hall due to the death in the family of Alderman Gayla Hendrix.

The agenda is as follows:

*Second and Final Reading of Ordinance No. 479 adopting a revised Smithville Municipal Zoning Map

*Second and Final Reading of Ordinance No. 480 annexing property off of Dry Creek Rd

*Second and Final Reading of an Ordinance regulating junked automobiles on private property

*Airport Manager Joe Johnson to address the Mayor and Board of Aldermen.

*Discussion of the City’s Long Term Disability policy.

*Mayor Miller to report on available grants for the City

*Any other business brought properly before the Board




DCHS to face Marshall County in Quarterfinals of State Tournament

The DCHS Lady Tigers will face the Marshall County Tigerettes in the quarterfinals of the TSSAA Class AA State Tournament known as the BlueCross Basketball Championships Wednesday afternoon at MTSU in Murfreesboro.

Game time is 1:15 p.m. and WJLE will have LIVE coverage with the Voice of the Lady Tigers John Pryor on AM 1480/FM 101.7 and LIVE streaming at www.wjle.com

The Lady Tigers are 23-11 while the Marshall County is 26-7
