A Murfreesboro couple has been arrested in a burglary and theft that occurred last week on Old Sligo Road.
38 year old Larry Dale Rogers and 40 year old Donna Geanine Ramsey are charged with aggravated burglary and theft of property under $1,000. Bond for each is $27,500 and they will make a court appearance on August 9.
Sheriff Patrick Ray said that on Wednesday, July 18 Rogers and Ramsey broke into a residence on Old Sligo Road and stole a 16 foot ladder and an Echo chainsaw. They were later observed parked in a white mini-van at Mapco Express in Smithville. That vehicle matched the description of the mini-van spotted at the scene of the crime. Found in the mini-van were the stolen ladder and chainsaw.
40 year old Craig Niles Hanson of Lebanon is charged with being a fugitive from justice. His bond is $75,000 and he will make a court appearance on August 9.
Sheriff Ray said that on Saturday, July 21 Hanson was brought to the sheriff’s office by the Alexandria Police Department on a public intoxication charge. After being booked for the offense, officials of the 911 center contacted the jail to report that a computer check revealed Hanson had active warrants against him for possession of a controlled substance by the Sheriff’s Department in San Francisco, California and that officials there would seek extradition.
