Upon arrival he spoke with a woman who said that on October 2 she and Shepherd were riding together in a vehicle when they began to argue and he punched her in the right eye leaving a bruise. He also grabbed a small notebook and struck her on the left side of the face. The woman said Shepherd also made several threats claiming he would take her to places where no one could find her and knock her teeth down her throat. The deputy learned through central dispatch that active bond conditions were in place against Shepherd for him to keep away from this woman.
