The 22nd annual Relay for Life in DeKalb County will be held Friday, May 10 at Greenbrook Park from 5:15 p.m. to 11 p.m.

The event will be relocated to the county complex in the event of rain.

“We have a backup plan. We will go to the county complex if we have to. Of course when we go there we lose part of our crowd and much of the team’s activities which are planned for outdoors but we will do what he have to do. We’re just praying for better weather,” said spokesperson Ivadell Randolph.

Relay For Life, the American Cancer Society’s signature event, is a fun-filled experience designed to bring together those who have been touched by cancer. This year’s theme is “Relay for a Cancer Free America”.

“If we’re at the park we will have a dunking booth, jail, blowup slides for the children, and all kinds of food,” said Randolph
