DCHS Advanced Vocal Music Class Entertains During Spring Concert (VIEW VIDEO HERE)

The DCHS Advanced Vocal Music Class entertained an audience at the Ina Ruth Bess Auditorium Thursday night during the annual Spring Concert.
Selections performed by the chorus included the songs “Red is the Rose”, the “National Anthem”, “Alma Mater”, “Chasing Cars”, “Stars I Shall Find”, “Like I’m Gonna’ Lose You”, “Reflections”, and “Country Roads”.
Members of the class, under the direction of Joshua Gulley, are Chiara Colonnello, Shaylah Dowell, Steven Easey, Emilee Finan, Skylar Fuson, Jaylin Garcia, Alysah Glass, Yohanna Herevia, Katlin Hutchins, Xavier Jackson, Ariana Keith, Alberto Lucio, Cassie Maxwell, Ashlin Maynard, Caiti Milligan, Alyssa Owen, Ashley Portillo, Eli Portillo, Amarious Shaw, and Lila Shurrab.

DCHS Tigerettes Game today (Thursday) Cancelled

The DCHS Tigerettes game today (Thursday) against Upperman has been cancelled due to threat of rain. Senior day has been reset for Monday, April 29 against Cookeville at 5 p.m. at the Danny Bond field.
“Squeaker” Has Been Adopted!

“Squeaker” has found a home!
According to DeKalb Animal Shelter Director Megan Moore, this week’s WJLE/DeKalb Animal Coalition “Pet of the Week” was adopted today (Thursday) only two days after the story about the kitten was featured on WJLE.
Many other cats and dogs are currently available for adoption. Visit the shelter or call 615-597-1363.
The shelter, located at 186 Transfer Station Road behind Tenneco Automotive, is open Thursday and Friday from noon until 4 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until noon.
